My house in Diwali eve
Looked just like a bride
With the tiny sparkles all over it
(It) eluded me as the veil on our first night
Veil that promises love, affection and caring,
but most of all it hid all the sharing
Parting the danglings when I entered with my feet steady
It felt like un-Veil-ing my first lady
The warmth, I felt, as I stepped inside,
Reminded me how her hug used to break my pride
Looked just like a bride
With the tiny sparkles all over it
(It) eluded me as the veil on our first night
Veil that promises love, affection and caring,
but most of all it hid all the sharing
Parting the danglings when I entered with my feet steady
It felt like un-Veil-ing my first lady
The warmth, I felt, as I stepped inside,
Reminded me how her hug used to break my pride
